Amazing to be part of the #oldisbeautiful exhibition launch at Bayside City Council. Speeches by Catherine Barrett, CEO of Celebrate Ageing and Cr Hanna El Mouallem, Mayor of Bayside City Council.

Thanks to Michelle Lord and Judy Page for having me along to photograph people of Bayside in the hashtag#oldisbeautiful project over the last 2 years.

It is always a thrill to see photos I have created with people exhibited. But the best part of the night was seeing all the subjects again and chatting to them, hearing about their experience being in the project. And even when I asked them if they like their portrait and they said 'not really'. You've gotta love the honesty. True, but seriously, the feedback shared with me on how they felt during their photoshoot, comfortable, at ease, seen, beautiful, also true.

The exhibition is on at the Bayside City Council Corporate Centre at 76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham, 8:30am-5:00pm until 14 November.
