'In 2013 I started documenting my queer Naarm community through photography. It was a way for me to connect and feel part of the community. I returned each year to LGBTQIA+ events including Pride March, Midsumma Carnival and Victoria’s Pride Street Party. Along with festivals like Gaytimes, protests for Marriage Equality and Slut Walk and and DYKE events by shitlistproductions. QUEER NAARM is a collection of the photographs from this vast series.’ - Suzanne Phoenix.

The series was launched at an exhibition at SOL Gallery, Brunswick Street, Fitzroy in January 2026.

The collection was acquired by the State Library of Victoria in 2026.
